The Eucharist is the centre of our day. It is the moment of intense encounter with Jesus, where the unity of our Community is renewed and deepened. We come to our Eucharist to draw life and love for our daily journey. We come for a loan of his love with which to live out Jesus’ “new commandment”, and to enter into communion with our sisters and brothers everywhere. The Eucharist is the fountain-head of our whole life of prayer, liturgical and personal. All prayer flows from the Eucharist, and returns to it, as to its source and summit.
